hey guys, found this app called freetimebox it has two main features one being it can sync the time on the phone to the correct time and date exactly, and the other feature can display time on all menus however i dont use this option i only use it to sync time

FreeTimeBox is a application for time displaying and time synchronization. As a evolution of FreeTimeSync, FreeTimeBox has all the functions of FreeTimeBox and fixes the bugs of it. It also can display time as the 3rd FP2 system.

PS:FreeTimeSync is a S60 3rd’s time synchronization application, it is based on the NTP (Network Time Protocol), which provides high-precision time correction (on LAN less than 1 ms, on Internet dozens of milliseconds), and only causes little network flow. FreeTimeSync also supports GPS time sync and SMS time sync.

FreeTimeBox needs to sign before installion. You can sign it with your dev cert. If you don’t know about cert and sign, please visit www.symbiansigned.com and follow the instructions to get FreeTimeSync Open signed.

hey guys, anyone else have the same problem i had with gmail that the icon seemed blurry and looked horrible compared to all the other nice crisp icons well some one has decided to re-create gmail this time with a nice big crisp icon looks a lot better with the menu, anyone who dosnt know what gmail is look below.

Just found that this user agent works well with the Samsung Innov8, Please note you do need to sign it and you need to install python all links are at bottom off this post and again python needs signing.

During the last few days I’ve been trying to find a way for my brother to be able to browse the yahoo mail page, but it wasn’t working. I found the available hacks, and the one altering the strings on the resource folder didn’t work on our E90′s, so I checked out iPhonesque. It did change the User Agent, but didn’t work for our needs. Nevertheless, it was a promising alternative.

My first try was simply to copy the installed dll from sys/bin and editing the string with an hex editor to the user agent for Firefox on a windows Machine:

And it worked. I was quite happy with this and went on with it. But while using the E90 though EDGE, it wasn’t so practical for some sites… and I kind of regretted denying the E90′s browser identity, specially on sites that recognize Symbian phones and send you the appropriate version for your phone.

I though about using ROMpatcher, but I figure it wouldn’t work since the dll is in C and not Z, and after dumping my rom and dumping all the strings in the files I found nothing I could work with.

So I went and got the source code for iPhonesque and altered it to do what I deemed would be a good fit for me.

Of course I claim no big contribution to it, since I did some alterations in order for it to do what. I simply changed the code and this dirty change is what I am sharing with you. It might be useful for some, hence I posted it here. If anyone has suggestions as to what decisions the program should make, maybe we can work out which sites work best with what user agent.. meanwhile, here is a sis with the following behavior:

Anyway, I just finished a new version of this mod that is not site dependent, now you can switch user agents via a python script.

Even while browsing. You’ll just need to reload the current page after runing the script.

If you don’t run the python script you will have your default behavior, but in case you run it and select an option from the menu other than original, that User Agent will be used until you change it again.

Thanks to the original creator or this sis, I left all the rest of the sis intact to what he made, and just added a 2 to the version number, so that users can have control of what they have installed.

Basically what this app does it trick the web browser into thinking its a iphone or firefox browser or any off the aboves ones

hey guys, users of other symbian devices will be well aware of a wonder devolper called Samir from France, well he has announced a new program called handwave, where the user can wave his or her hand over the front of the camera and this will act as left or right depending on the way the wave goes, The video shows it working n a nokian95 but i dont know if it will work with the samsung innov8 what you guys think??

hey guys, nice little application if your worried about posting images or sending images with exif data in it with this little application it will remove all this information therefore total privacy

simply select the image you wish to detag and it simply creates the image without any of the information or tags there fore total privacy

Greedy penguin

There’s nothing in this world as determined as a hungry penguin, as this platform jumping game proves.

The object of Greedy Penguins is to guide your little penguin down a series of platforms as the screen scrolls upwards. This isn’t as easy as it sounds, especially when you remember that penguins can’t fly.

You can choose one of four different penguins (Daniel, Bonnie, Justin and Doud) who you must then guide down a series of levels, gobbling fish and collecting coins along the way. Not all the platforms are safe to stand on – some have spikes on them, some fall away when you stand on them and others send you shooting back up in the air. All this serves to make it a tricky and, at times frustrating quest, which will take you ages to master.

There aren’t much in the way of options – there’s only one difficulty level and you can’t even enter your own name in the high scores chart (it just records the name of your penguin) so it’s hard to keep track of scores if lots of you are playing the game. One neat thing though is the online multiplayer mode, where you can hook up with other penguin pushers over the Internet and challenge them.
